This book was in the young adult section but I think even younger readers would enjoy it and there is nothing objectionable in it really. I enjoyed this fantasy coming of age story and while the ending was a bit abrupt that is not really a big deal as it is a series. I don't mind cliffhanger endings as long as there are more books :) The characters were believable and likable. The action was fast paced and had good flow. This is one of the first books I ever read by this author. I was intrigued and caught up in the magic of this book. So much so that I bought the rest of the series (that was out at the time- only thru book 7) and chain read them. It does have a bit of a cliffhanger to draw you into the next book but I didn't mind as I wanted to know what happened next. I recently noticed that there are more in the series so I wanted to review what I have already read and I have plans to read book 8 & 9 and
I have to start off by saying that I couldn't finish this book. It was too much...all the dragging. I really tried but nope...This was a boring/stupid story. There were no real descriptions of the characters besides Meghan having red hair and a nose ring, Colin being short, and Sebastian being athletic. Were they identical twins? Her shorter than him? How old was Sebastian? The writing was eh! I didn't really get the feeling that Meghan was only 12/13 years old, not by the way she acted/things
This was an interesting story but really more of a set up for future books. I'm sure we'll be checking out the next in the series. The story was interesting and well written but only one point in the story was ever brought to end leaving every thing else in a cliff hangers.This is a story of twins who have been adopted and travel with their "uncle".
