This novel is such a cute love story and I loved every part of it. The debut novel of Katie Ward is worth appreciating the efforts put in. This novel can definitely be turned into a movie. The cover of the novel is very beautiful and eye-appealing not even from the front but even from the back side of the book. The characters shown on the cover are the two leads in the story, i.e., Sophia and Isabella. This is a story of two girls born on the same date in the same city and altogether with

4☆ Enchanting Warm ReadThe Pretender is an enchanting warm read.I love the cover it's simply gorgeous.Sophia has just turned 18, set to leave Boarding School to return home. Most children can't wait to get home, but Sophia is the opposite. Her Dad is violently abusive to her and her sister. She had an awful childhood and suffered terrible abuse. Princess Isabella is also turning 18 on the same day. She is a real Princess with the life of luxury. But she isn't happy. She longs for a touch of

This is a solid five stars from me. It was an engaging and fast paced read that really delivered in terms of plot and characterisation. I really loved the way the characters interacted with each other, they got on well but were very different personalities at heart. I am very familiar with the Prince and the Pauper but was unsure how well it would work in a modern day setting but this is a great take on a classic. It takes the main themes from the original but Katie has skillfully created a new

Two girls; one a princess, the other a poor girl from a broken family. Both want a chance at a different life. They look so alike it may just be possible.Isabelle is the future queen of France. Her place is with a guarded community. She wants a glimpse at freedom, but her family want to keep her safe.Sophia has a loving sister, but an evil father. Her mother lets her father do as he likes and home isnt a nice place. Sophia gets the opportunity to study in a safe environment, but when she turns

The cover is just beautiful and I loved the book a lot it. Overall the theme of friendship and family is amazing. Both the characters of Isabella and Sofia are so well developed that each plays an important role in taking up a lot of space in your heart and after the book is over I was very happy and satisfied with the ending. While the author was talking about Isabella who hailed from palaces she was preety good at depicting Sophia Lazarus who escaped abusive childhood. It was wonderful to see
