THE WAGER

Lose a bet, lose your heart...

What is it about a junior-high crush that can send an otherwise intelligent woman into a tailspin? TV reporter Char Lynn wishes she knew. Jake Titus is too rich, too handsome, too arrogant: a trifecta that once lured Char into the best night-and worst morning-after-of her life. Now they've been thrown together in a wedding party. It's awkward, but survivable . . . until Jake stops acting like a jerk, and starts acting like the man she'd always hoped he could be.

If watching your brother marry your best friend is weird, being attracted to your best friend's other best friend is downright bizarre. Unfortunately for Jake, Char hasn't forgotten how he once tossed her aside. Worse still, Jake's already-nutty grandma is even crazier about Char. Cue meet-cute shenanigans and all manner of meddling, and somehow, Jake's falling. For Char. Now all he has to do is make her believe it . . .

Comment On Out Of Books The Wager (The Bet #2)
5 WAGER STARS.After reading this story , once again I need to be checked into RA (romance anonymous). My romance boxes are full to the brim and overflowing after completing this tale of love. 'The wager' was one of my most highly anticipated books on my 'to read' shelf this month.'The bet' is one of my, I-love-forever-and-ever books and I could not wait to get my hands on this story of Jake Titus and Char Lynn. Rachel Van Dyken did not disappoint, the wager delivered on all romantic counts and

Find all of my reviews at: http://52bookminimum.blogspot.com/Meet Jake Titus . . . . Its manwhore little one. Jake is a manwhore. Jakes idea of a good time has always been doing as little work as possible while doing as many chicks as possible. When Jake is fired from his familys company and forced to interact with childhood friend Char leading up to his brothers nuptials, Jake starts to think it might be time to grow up, get his shit together and maybe even find a way to get the girl.

3.5 Matchmaking Stars! So, this book tells us the story of Jake and Char. They share a best-friend, Kacey, so they know each other since they were kids. Char was hurt by Jake in the past, so she is not completely happy about having to see him, but she wont miss her best-friend wedding, whos marrying Jakes older brother. What neither of them was expecting, was the matchmaking skills of Jakes grandmother, who is settled on getting those two together. Even if they think they dont want to. This

Super sweet and steamy and a brilliant read! The Wager was a fantastic New Adult romance. I loved the story, the characters, just everything. Loved this book!Char was a strong heroine. She went from a very self conscious adolescent, to a very successful woman. And, she's determined to keep that past where it belongs. But, when Jake comes along, her insecurities come back. Along with her feelings for Jake. I really liked her. I thought she was a great character, one that was easy to relate to.

Let me start out by saying that I never thought I'd laugh so much, or that I'd cry this much, while reading this book. My emotions were all over the place. I completely fell in love with this book.Char has had a crush on Jake for practically all her life. But in Jr. high, she was tossed aside and was forced to give up on him. He was never gonna like her. So she goes on with her life until one night sends her in a tailspin that brings all these past feelings back up. And when they both are in

A more wretched hive of sophomoric "humor" and outright idiocy will be hard to find. No, seriously, this book actively kills brain cells and makes the reader stupid.I want to know what happy drugs led to the five star reviews, because those drugs could cure depression. Maybe even end world hunger. They must be that strong, because there is no way any reader with an ounce of self-literacy respect can read this and not be appalled by the sheer inanity. This is what supposedly passes for humor:1) A

Rachel Van Dykens The Bet will always have a special place in my heart, not just because it was the first book I reviewed for my blog, but because the complicated love triangle between the Titus brothers and their childhood friend, Kacey one of the funniest, sweetest, and most heartwarming stories Ive had the pleasure of reading. In The Wager, Jake Titus gets to redeem himself from his previous womanizing ways when he comes in close contact with childhood friend and former fling, Char Lynn.
