The anticipation of reading this book for me was almost overwhelming! For those of you who read the Argeneau series, you know the character Marguerite. Well I am a Marguerite groupie! What is that? You ask? Well, this woman thinks it is her sole duty to see all of the people she comes in contact with in any slight way to be matched with their Life Mates, those who they will spend eternity with blissfully! This book was about Anders (one I love), an Enforcer for the Immortals, ensuring that theI enjoyed this book as I have all the Argeneau books. It has the same quirky sense of humor and several characters from previous books make an appearance adding to the feeling of "a visit home". In life I would probably like Valerie and Anders very much. They are loyal, intelligent, and have a good solid dose of common sense that is admirable. Valerie is a strong heroine, saving herself several times which is a nice change of pace.My problem with the book was the two protagonists weren't all
As usual with this series, it was a fun read!
Immortal Ever After is the 18th book in Lynsay Sands insanely popular Argeneau series, and a fun, exciting, sexy story! Ive read more than my fair share of the paranormal romance genre, most especially vampires. I dont know what it is, but theres something about these tormented souls that draw me in and keep me coming back for more. Its not often that I fall in love during my first read of a series, but I fell - and fell hard - for the Argeneau world. From the cover:A kiss doesnt mean eternity
And again a Rogue Hunter finds his life mate...I just love the Argeneau series by Lynsay Sands. And one more time she didn't disappoint. Though it's not my favorite episode.I couldn't connect with Anders but that's just a question of personal taste and has nothing to do with the writing or the story. For me these books are likeWith a lot ofVery much ofAnd a little bit ofIt was great to meet some of the previous couples. Especially Lucian and Leigh! So everyone who likes (not so scary) vampires,
Can I be let-down when I end up liking a book that I was expecting to hate? You know that book rants are like chocolate to me. I need. I crave. I indulge way too much to be considered normal. The hero of this book is called Anders and he was kind of a dick in past books. I was looking forward to him acting like an alpha-asshole and me getting to call him an alpha-asshole. It's my thing. I even have a bookshelf dedicated to them. I feel really good when I rail on an A.A., and I get my feminist
I have been looking forward to reading Anders story because he was so restrained, dark, brooding, mysterious, you name it. Wow was he lame. Not that this was a bad story but where was the heat, the passion, the darkness? Not what I was hoping for in the least. Oh Anders, you were very vanilla-so very bland.
