One line, seven words, twenty seven letters. What the hell happened in the end? I mean seriously. I gave Echo just for the mind blowing end and that killing cliffhanger. I havent read Alyson Noels Immortal series or other contemporary romance but I can say that she knows how to tell a story with descriptive detailing. Fated had intriguing premises but when somewhere I felt it was dragged up. However in case of Echo, I didn't feel that way, rather I enjoyed the story more than Fated. In fated*Genre* YA Paranormal*Rating* 3.0*Thoughts*Echo is the sequel to Fated in the Soul Seekers series and reintroduces readers to Daire, Dace, Xotichl, Cade, Lita, and Paloma to name the main cast. I'm not really sure what I think about this particular ending other than I was ready to scream my bloody head off. I mean, if you weren't awake while reading the first and middle parts of this book, you were by the time the ending came around. I'm sure I am not the only one who thought WTH, is this the
I can't tell you why but I hated this book. I don't think I read even half of it. I tried. I tried so very hard. I think I read every word of the first two or so chapters before I started only reading dialogue till around page 140. After that I gave up and started skipping whole pages then whole chapters.I've never done this before. I've never disrespected a book or author like that before and I'm ashamed that I couldn't give this book the respect it deserves. I know how hard it is to write a
O. M. G!!! This book was soooo Romeo and Juliet can't wait for next one
OMG, omg, omg!! This book sooo many turns that I was not prepared for. Book three I need you now. This book was sooo much better than book one. In Echo (since we have the back story from fated), I feel like we were really able to get a start on the Soul Seeker story in here. We get to see our two main characters Dace and Daire, and I do like how we switch back and forth between POV in this book. I think it helped the story too, giving it a little something more to go on! I have to also say this
I enjoyed Echo a bit more than I did Fated. I thought this story had better character developement and the story was more interesting. The only real complaints I have is the romance. I couldn't help finding myself role my eyes on numerous occasions. It's just, personally, not for me. I think that is what bugs me in most YA books. The cheesy, mushy, unrealistic boyfriends. I know they are written like this for a reason, but it would still be nice, to try at least, to make them human in a sense.
