I really enjoyed this series but seriously - has Morgan Rice not heard of a proof reader? The contextual and grammatical errors are pretty distracting.Short story, short review. Overall, this was an decent read. A few more thing stood out to me as being different about the vampires in this story than what we are traditionally used reading about in this genre. Vampires get weaker as they get older, instead of stronger. The Vamps in this world can commit suicide with a little yellow pill, etc. Like I said in my review of Turned, I still believe that these stories are two short. Spoiler****** I liked the first book of the series & was excited to start #2. This book didnt impress me at all. It reminded me of the vampire version of the movie National Treasure where they follow all the clues. I also have a few problems with this book 1) If the brother is a runaway why would she think he would be in school in their old town and question him why he wasn't at school? Don't think kids can just enroll themselves into a school when they are runaways.2) If the mom is dead
This series seriously starts out good, and has a ton of potential, but once you get to about.. ohh, the fourth book, everything starts to become repetitive and the characters really start to lose their individuality, all of them blending together and having the same feelings, emotions, and opinions. Caitlynn and Caleb race through time looking for the legendary sword, but they have company the Blacktide Coven are after the same thing, as we follow them on their search we get an interesting look at history, bring on the next book.Or so I thought, as I said in my review of the first book it's over a year since I read this book and I never intended to write a review but I'm offering my advice for what it's worth. This is the last good book on this series in my opinion the rest are the same
bit better than the previous one
The book isn't horrible, but it is not a very good vampire series. What I don't understand is how so many editing mistakes made it to print. It is by far the most mistakes I've ever seen in a book. With that being said, I am a sucker for finishing series. So I'm sure I'll keep reading, in hopes that it gets better.
